Legum Baccalaureus or Bachelor in Laws is an undergraduate 3 or 5-year professional degree course that allows a person to practice law. The degree is offered for 3 years for graduates and 5-year for students who wish to pursue law after the senior secondary examination.
Bar Council of India (BCI) is the regulatory body of Legal Education in India. Both, holders of 3 and 5-year degree are eligible for enrolment with the Bar Council of India upon fulfillment of eligibility criteria.
