B.M.S. College of Law boasts of a rich legacy of 60 years and with pride to say, the former
Chief Justice of India Hon’ble Mr. Justice E. S. Venkataramaiah, headed the Institution as the
Principal. Founded by late Sri. B. M. Sreenivasaiah, a great philanthropist and Late Sri. B. S.
Narayan, the college is now managed by the Council of Trustees consisting of Dr. Ragini
Narayan, as Donor Trustee & Chairperson, Dr. Dayananda Pai, Life Trustee, Sri. Aviram
Sharma, Trustee, Chairman & Sri. Ravi Venkatesam, Trustee.
The College is committed to providing an excellent, affordable and distinctive legal
education to diverse students, promoting legal scholarship and service that will enrich the
legal profession, and setting up new standards by inculcating a sense of professionalism,
respect for the rule of law, and responsibility towards society.
The faculty member’s interest in working closely with students and counsel to make them
stress-free has no match. Academic engagement is a key pillar, where BMSCL plans to
increase engagement with various law agencies, through sponsored research, consultancy,
