Women cell

The principle of gender equality is enshrined in the Indian Constitution in its Preamble, Fundamental Rights, Fundamental Duties, and Directive Principles. The Constitution not only grants equality to women but also empowers the State to adopt measures of positive discrimination in favor of women. Empowerment is the degree of autonomy and self-determination in people and communities. This enables them to represent their interests in a responsible and self-determined way, acting on their authority. Women's security, decision-making power, and mobility are three indicators of women's empowerment. With a view to maintain and strengthen the status of women, the Women's Cell was constituted. The Cell plays an important role in voicing opinions on important matters that affect the daily life of girl students. The Cell provides a platform, where students can comfortably participate and share their views. It is also responsible for actively promoting gender equality among students
